Privacy policy

Image Tracer ("the app") is a vector drawing and tracing studio available as an Android app and at this website. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. The short version: we store only what's needed to run your account and save your artwork, we don't show ads, and we never sell your data.

Data we collect

• Account details. If you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. Accounts are optional — you can draw, trace, and export without one; an account is only needed to save designs to the cloud.
• Your designs. Designs you save are stored with your account: the vector artwork, a thumbnail, the design name, and any reference picture you imported into the design.
• Preferences. Small editor settings (like your preferred stroke width) are saved with your account so the app feels the same next time.
• Pictures you auto-trace. When you use Auto-trace, the picture is uploaded to our server, converted to vector lines in memory, and the result is returned to you. The uploaded picture is not stored on the server — it exists only for the seconds the conversion takes.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties for marketing.
• No analytics trackers or profiling.
• No collection of contacts, location, or anything outside the app.

Cookies

The website uses a single functional cookie: a session cookie that remembers that your app is allowed to open the studio. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.

Where your data lives

Accounts, designs, and preferences are stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider), protected by row-level security so only you can access your own designs. The app itself is hosted on Render. Both act as data processors on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Your account and designs are kept until you delete them. Deleting a design removes it immediately; deleting your account removes the account and all of its designs and preferences.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• In the app: tap your account avatar → Delete account.
• On the web: visit the account deletion page.

Children

Image Tracer is a general-audience drawing app. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
